Getting started

The whole thing takes about five minutes, and you can change any of it later.

  • 1. Make an accountUse an email address and a password, or continue with Google. If you would rather not have a password at all, ask for a sign-in link by email instead.
  • 2. Say what the page is forA business, a person, or a page somebody has invited you to run. It decides which sections you get: a business page has a Team section, a personal one does not.
  • 3. Claim your addressThis is the part people will type or scan, so pick the short obvious one. It can be changed later, but only once every 30 days, so it is worth a moment’s thought.
  • 4. Fill in ProfileYour name or business name, a line about what you do, your logo or photo, and your contact details. This is what somebody gets when they save your contact card.
  • 5. Add your linksSocials, your website, your menu, a booking page, whatever people actually ask you for. Drag them into the order that matters.
  • 6. PublishNothing is public until you press Publish. Then go to Share for your link, your QR code and a printable poster.

There is a checklist in your dashboard that walks through the same steps and disappears once you are done with it.

Features and how-tos

Links

Each link has a kind, which decides its icon and how it behaves: a social account, a phone number, an email, a map, a menu, a booking page, an event, a course, and about thirty others. If nothing fits, use a custom link and give it your own label. Order them with the arrows. Anything you turn off stays saved and stops showing.

Profile and your contact card

What you put in Profile is what visitors get when they tap Save contact: a proper contact card that lands in their phone with your name, number, email, website and address already in it. Opening hours go here too, and if you paste your own Google or Apple Maps link, the Directions button uses it instead of searching for your typed address, which is the difference between the right shop and one with a similar name.

Posts

A post is a picture with optional writing under it. Leave the writing out and it behaves exactly like a photo. You can also paste a YouTube, TikTok or Vimeo link and the video shows in the strip. Videos do not load until somebody presses play, which keeps your page fast and keeps those companies out of your visitors’ business.

Design

Four things, and they are independent: your picture, your background, your button style and your font. Set them yourself, or start from a template and adjust. Whatever you pick, your colour survives it. There are eighteen templates and you can look through all of them at the gallery before choosing.

Share

Your link, a QR code you can download and print, and a poster laid out for a window or a counter. The QR code carries your colour. Print it big enough to scan from where people will be standing.

Analytics

Views, taps, contact card saves, and which of your links people actually use, over the last 7 or 30 days. It is counted without cookies, so the numbers are honest about being counts of taps rather than counts of people: there is no way for us to tell one visitor from another, and we would rather say so than invent a number.

Shop

A shop is off until you switch it on, from the card at the bottom of Links. Products go into categories and show under a Shop tab on your page. Paste an affiliate link and we will try to fetch the title and picture from the page so you do not have to type them, though every field stays editable because some retailers block that. Prices are never fetched, because retailer prices go stale and Amazon’s terms require price data to come from their own API.

Selling a file

On a paid plan a product can carry a price and a file. You do not need a payment account of your own. We take the payment, keep our fee and pay you the rest, which also means the VAT, the refunds and the chargebacks are ours to handle rather than yours.

Selling is not switched on yet. What we charge, and the lowest price a product can be listed at, are published before it opens, so nobody is asked to list anything without knowing the fee first.

The buyer gets a download link good for 365 days or 20 downloads. If theirs never arrived, you can send it again from your orders list.

Team

A business can create a page for somebody on the team and send them an invite. They sign up, claim it, and run their own card. The page still belongs to the business, runs on the business’s plan, and the owner can see and change it. Every plan includes some team pages, and the top plan can buy more.

FAQs

Is it really free?

Yes, and the free plan is the whole product rather than a demo of it: your page, your links, your posts, your contact card, your QR code, your analytics, three team pages and a small shop. Paid plans buy more room and a few extras, listed on the pricing page.

Can I change my page address?

Once every 30 days. The limit exists so an address cannot be cycled to escape a report. Old links stop working when you change it, so tell people first.

Do you show a cookie banner?

No, because there is nothing to ask about. We set no cookies for visitors at all. See the cookie notice.

Can I see who visited my page?

No, and not because we are withholding it. Nothing we record identifies a person, so nobody can see that, us included. You get counts, sources, countries and phone-or-computer. If you want to know who somebody is, ask them on the page.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then drop to Free. Nothing is deleted straight away: if you are over the free limits you choose what to keep, and the rest is hidden and restorable for 30 days before it goes. Resubscribe inside that window and everything comes back as it was.

Can I use my own domain?

Not yet. It is on the list.

Can I have more than one page on one account?

Not at the moment, other than team pages. One login runs one page.
