How do I pair a staff phone?

In Team, press Pair their phone under a team member, or Add a shared phone for a till iPad nobody owns. A QR code appears for 5 minutes and works once: scan it with the phone, or type the 6-digit code under it at thetap.shop/staff. That phone can then show your page, scan cards and give stamps, and nothing else. Free includes 1 phone, Pro 5 and Premium 10.

Can staff add a stamp by scanning a customer’s card?

Yes. Open the staff app (Loyalty cards → Open the staff app) signed in as your shop, signed in as a team member, or on a device you paired in Team (under a team member, or as a shared device). Scan the QR code on the customer’s loyalty card and their card opens with an Add a stamp button. Each press adds one stamp.

Is there a The Tap Shop app?

For staff, yes: the staff app runs in the phone’s browser at thetap.shop/staff, with Shop, Scan and My QR screens. You run your page from the dashboard in any browser. Customers never need an app. App Store and Play Store versions come later.

Set it up

In Team, press Pair their phone under a team member, or Add a shared phone.
On that phone, scan the QR code, or open thetap.shop/staff and type the 6-digit code.
On the phone, choose Scan, point it at a customer’s card and press Add a stamp.

What customers see

Nothing changes: they show their card and staff scan it.

Limits and downgrades

A paired phone can show your page, scan cards and give stamps, and nothing else. It can’t edit anything.
